tire direction
In regard to why AG tires are supposed to be mounted so the “point” is pointed forward at the top of the tire, it is to help clear mud from the tread. In soft ground, as the tire begins to slip, the mud is forced to the side and out of the tread along the cleats. This allows the tire to get a clean bite as it moves forward.
If the tire is mounted backward, the mud is forced to the center as the tires slips. The mud then has no place to go, so the tread becomes filled with mud and has no bite.
From my experience.
