PKTs 1614 dozer blade

September 7th, 2010 | Tags:

I finally purchased a 1614 Power King. It’s a 1978. My question is this: I have a 1212 now with a dozer blade. Can someone tell me what I need to do to make it fit the 1614? I can’t pick up the new tractor until later this week so I’m hoping to get some info before then. Thanks much for any advice you can give me.

Unfortunately, the attachments for the 1200 series tractors are NOT compatible with the 1600′s.  On your dozer blade, the blade itself is identical, but the main support (channel iron) for the 1200 has a bend in the middle which the 1600 does not have.

Thanks much Larry. Sounds like I can fabricate the ” main support ” with a piece of straight channel. Any idea where I could find a picture of just the entire blade ? I’ve seen them mounted on a tractor but it’s hard to make out enough detail. Bob

LOL!  It didn’t sell at the show, Jon.  I know where it’s stored if you get interested in it again.

Let me do some checking to make sure it’s still back home where it belongs.

I’ll buy the 1212 mount from Ya and yes Larry I know I passed one up at the last show we were at but I did not think I needed one then. I am thinking of mounting the V blade on my 1212 this winter the Farmer’s Almanac is calling for a whopper this year ……Jon

OH no another trip to Evansville is in order. I definitely could use it. I am going to start work on the 1218 hydro soon also so another 1200 will be in the PK army soon. I would like to use it for the V blade. I need some 12″ wheel weights too for the project..Jon
