No fire on my 566

On a whim, I decided to take the new points(two months old) off my 566 and put the old points off a 5665 I’m rebuilding just to see if it made any difference. It started immediately. Those were brand new points that have been working fine for two months. Can anyone shed some light on why these would fail so quickly? Is there another problem somewhere causing these to burnout? The condenser is new as well. Thanks
