This model comes with a six-cylinder Deutz engine that uses SCR (Ad Blue) to meet EU emission-3b requirements. The front axle is a little different to the 900 series which is not independently suspended, but does provide extra stability at high speeds. The tractor can reach speeds of 60 kilometer per hour at 1,750 rpm. At speeds above 20 kilometer per hour the tractor automatically closes valves in the cylinders of the front axle to improve stability, so the tractor leans when cornering. The cab is similar to the 900 series. The interior and the control functions are similar to those of the larger 900 series. The new Vario 800 series consists of five models. The 819, 822, 824, 826 and 828, from 147 kW (200 hp) to 206 kW (280 hp). The old models 818 and 820 will remain part of the series.

New Console

The 800 Series is available in three equipment levels, the Power, Profi and Profi-Plus implementation. The console is believed to be the most advanced available. The console boasts a simple 7-inch color touchscreen and a luxury touch screen of 10.4 inches. The most luxurious 800 Vario Profi Plus in the high-performance terminal uses GPS to automatically connect to a headland Program (Vario Guide). It controls the tractor on the headland to the next working slot without driver intervention. The terminal can simultaneously show up to four images, including camera images. Production will start in July 2010, with the first models rolling off the production line in September.
