The Proud Case IH Farmall A Series Tractors
Everything you would like in a farm use tractor, and nothing you don’t. The new Case IH Farmall A Series tractors are built with proven basics – like a dependable, energy-efficient diesel engine and an easy mechanical transmission – for straightforward operation and rugged trustworthiness.
‘If you’re looking for a durable workhorse without electronic controls, take a glance at the new Case IH Farmall A tractors,’ asserts Greg Lucey, Case IH marketing manager for Farmall tractors. ‘These new Farmall A tractors are simple machines built for the farm with all the pulling power and hydraulics you want for loading, blading, tilling and mowing chores.’
4 Farmall A models will be available in 2010 :
* Farmall 45A with 45 engine hp and 39 PTO hp
* Farmall 55A with fifty five engine hp and 47 PTO hp
* Farmall 65A with 65 engine hp and 57 PTO hp
* Farmall 75A with seventy five engine hp and 66 PTO hp
Lucey says the new Farmall A lineup is the first offering in the new generation of Case IH Farmalls, which will include an updated and simplified global naming convention and decals. ‘Farmall is the most recognizable tractor name in history,’ he explains. ‘With the launch of our new Farmall A tractors, we are returning to the ‘letter’ naming custom to revere the result of those famous Farmalls and obviously signal the progression of new models.’
trustworthy diesel engine
engineered to be tough and trouble-free, the 3-cylinder and 4-cylinder diesel engines in Farmall A tractors provide reliable power. They’re also energy-efficient, Tier III emissions compliant, and licensed for biodiesel blends – for a lighter environmental footprint.
A fully independent 540-rpm PTO is engaged with the straightforward flip of a lever. ‘So you may also power a wide selection of attachments,’ Lucey adds. ‘The PTO stays engaged, powering the implements even when you clutch, shift and turn.’
straightforward, mechanical transmission
A basic shuttle shift transmission, with eight forward and 2 reverse gears, provides smooth shifting and keeps the Case IH Farmall A simple to operate. And 4 of the eight forward gears are in the heavily used 2- to 8-mph working range.
in addition, the Farmall 45A and 55A models are available with a discretionary 8×8 synchronized shift transmission, for on-the-fly shifting during roading or hauling.
Farmall A tractors are engineered with a heavy-duty 2WD front axle or optional mechanical front drive axle, and a cast-iron rear spindle with lots of strength for loaders and rear implements. ‘And a 3-point-hitch lift capacity of up to 2,954 pounds means your Farmall A can handle a round baler, rotary mower or tiller with ease,’ Lucey notes.
‘No matter what’s on your to-do list, whether it involves a 3-point implement or front end loader, your Case IH Farmall A has the hydraulic power and lift capacity to do the job,’ announces Lucey.
Case IH Farmall 45A tractorComfortable controls, simple maintenance
handily found, easy-to-use controls on Case IH Farmall A tractors make chores seem less like work. ‘With the basic transmission, there’s a speed and reverse lever on your right,’ Lucey explains. ‘On the 8×8 transmission option, the reverse lever is on the left-hand side of the steering wheel. Either way, they are straightforward controls that let you simply reverse direction.’
A sloped hood provides great visibility in all directions, and a deluxe, contoured suspension seat adjusts to fit. Routine maintenance is a snap : Engine oil can be checked and filled without lifting the hood.
With a Farmall A, you’ll get a giant, snug operator platform that makes short work of a long day,’ Lucey announces. ‘Unlike some tractors in this class where operators protest about cramped quarters, getting poked with levers or confused by the controls, the new An is a Case IH Farmall, with long-established rural bloodlines. That means power, dependability, simple controls and straightforward operation.’.
